TOUR CALIFORNIA AFTER THE WINTER SHOW:

Although we are not affiliated with the World Ag Expo in Tulare California, we have timed our convention to occur the weekend before that event, which will be held February 14 through 16 in Tulare CA.  This is the largest modern farm equipment show in the world!  You are welcome to make your own arrangements to visit that show after the HPOCA convention and banquet is completed on Monday evening.  The distance from Sacramento to Tulare is approximately 215 miles and takes about 3 hours and 25 minutes non-stop by car.  We recommend that you take a leisurely drive down to this show on Tuesday morning, by taking Highway 99 (more direct) or Highway 5 (larger freeway).  If you take Highway 99, you can stop in and say hello at the Bechthold Tractor Service shop in Lodi.  Enjoy the vastness of the California landscape.  Have lunch at Harris Ranch Restaurant in Coalinga.
Or if you prefer something different than farm equipment, Gold Country is just half an hour drive east of Sacramento or go further east to Lake Tahoe or Reno.  Take your own more extensive tour of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, world famous wines.  Head for San Francisco to the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Angel Islands.  Take a drive along the coast.  If you’re really adventuresome, continue down the coast to Morro Bay or the Hearst Castle.  Perhaps down to Los Angeles to Disneyland.
